jamestamp.com is a personal hobby blog run by one person (hi, I’m James). This page explains, in plain language, what happens with any information you share while you’re here.
What I collect
Contact form. If you use the contact form, I receive your name, email address, and whatever you write. I use it only to reply to you. I don’t add you to a mailing list, because there isn’t one.
Comments. If comments are open on a post and you leave one, the information you enter (name, email, comment) is stored so the comment can display. Your email is never shown publicly.
Server logs. Like virtually every website, the hosting server keeps standard logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps). These exist for security and troubleshooting and are rotated automatically. I don’t mine them, sell them, or combine them with anything else.
What I don’t do
- I don’t sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone, ever.
- I don’t run advertising trackers or third-party analytics profiles.
- I don’t send marketing email.
Cookies
WordPress sets a few functional cookies — for example, if you leave a comment it may remember your name and email so you don’t have to retype them. There’s no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies from this site that I’m aware of. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still read fine.
Outbound links
Posts sometimes link to other websites (a stamp society, a shop, a resource I found useful). Once you follow one of those links, you’re on their site and their privacy policy applies, not this one.
Your choices
If you’ve left a comment or sent a message and want it deleted, use the contact form and ask. I’ll remove it. Same goes for any question about what this site holds about you — just ask.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, I’ll update the date at the top. That’s the whole notification system.
